South Australia’s Festival of Racing kicked off last weekend with more of our favourite things—fine dining, fine fashion, and of course a some of the country’s finest thoroughbred racing. If you couldn’t make the opening weekend, you’re in luck! There are two other opportunities to join in the fun.

Celebrate South Australian racing at its most glamorous with our very own Derby Day this Saturday 12th of May. Embrace the race day style and rock up in your best black and white racewear for this traditional racing day. And it’s just in time for Mother’s Day… talk about good timing! Derby Day is a family-friendly event, so gather the family and bring mum along—she’ll love the opportunity to dress up and enjoy plenty of delicious food and wine!

The Festival of Racing also hosts Darley Goodwood Day on Saturday 19th May.

If stylish cocktail events are a little less your thing, General Admission is the perfect trackside party for you and your friends! You won’t just be up close and personal with all the action, but you’ll have a variety of bars and food tents at your fingertips too.

Our friends from Jeanneret Wines will have their own pavillion open in the General Admission area—the recently opened boutique winery is part of this month’s Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend, so if you can’t make it to Clare, here’s your opportunity to enjoy some amazing Clare Valley wines or just get in the mood ahead of the Gourmet Weekend! You’ll definitely find us hovering by the pavillion!

General Admission tickets for Adults are $15; Concession is $7; and, best of all, kids are free! But if you’re interested in something a little different, head to the Festival of Racing website for more other ways to spend the day. Just make sure you don’t miss out!
