Fringe Review: Zach & Tom: Best Friends

Presented by Zach & Tom
Reviewed 4 March 2016

Zach Zucker and Tom Walker are Zach & Tom – and they are best friends; best mates; besties; BFFs. In this case though, BFF stands for Bloody Funny Fellows!

From the moment a rather strange ‘Stage Manager’ ushers you into the venue where an even stranger ‘ordinary audience member’ sits, loudly telling you that he’s just ‘an ordinary audience member’, you know that this is going to be a zany, fun show – it’s much more: try a delightful insight into the very funny, looney minds of Zucker and Walker.

These two young guys are clowns (in the nicest sense) and perform physical comedy perfectly. They work together (and alone) wonderfully – and comedy timing from both is brilliantly spot-on.

Without giving anything away, highlights among the many highlights include an hilarious karate lesson and Zucker’s ‘arcting’ pal, Brad (who isn’t the Pitts).

Words such as ‘brilliant’, ‘excellent’, ‘funny’ and ‘hilarious’ just don’t do this show enough justice – just go and experience the antics of best friends, Zach and Tom: you’ll be so glad you did.
