Fringe Review: SOAP

When you combine acrobats with water, comedy, some circus and cabaret, it’s a recipe for success.

When I head along to Adelaide Fringe, I always look forward to the acrobats. The strength, the agility and the grace with which they perform their acts always has me transfixed, so when you combine all of that with water, comedy, some circus and cabaret, it’s a recipe for success. SOAP wowed audiences in 2015 and two years on, it’s back and better than ever. If you’ve seen the show before, it’s still very similar to the first time around, however the incredible feats performed by the cast never get old. If you want to walk out breathless, this is the show to see. And be prepared for some body envy and a touch of lust. When you team up some water choreography with a finely tuned group of athletic performers, the results are spectacular.
