Grab the family and head to The Lounge at the German Club to be amazed and amused by four very talented local magicians. But be sure to book quickly as opening night was sold out.

Dazzling Dan, Daring Don, Dramatic Drew and Ravishing Richardo (aka Daniel Daminato, Don Gagliardi, Drew Ames and Richard Milne) are a talented crew of local magicians and members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, with teenager Dan having been a member of the Magic Club for only four years.

The magicians walk through the audience, each carrying a magic bag (a case actually) of tricks and the show opens with Dramatic Drew suiting his actions to the words of  Stuck in the Middle with You, looking less than impressed with his fellow performers. His rope tricks are amazing, even when he deliberately fumbles it. He’s a very funny man and holds the audience’s attention throughout.

Dazzling Dan, making his Fringe debut, is a delight. His has the patter down pat and confidently executes an incredible card trick with two members of the audience assisting him. A word of warning – don’t sit in the front row unless you want to be ‘volunteered’ to assist!

Ravishing Richardo, also making his Fringe debut,  performs an hilarious drink in the shoe routine – via phone instructions from the Acme Joke and Prank Helpline. His shtick is to seem unsure and hesitant while actually being a consummate performer.

Daring Don concludes the entertainment. Having ‘disappeared’ some eggs, after smashing a couple on the stage, he then makes a cute white rabbit disappear, transferring it’s ears to an unsuspecting audience member. Not to give anything away, I’ll just say the trick with the knife is amazing!

It’s wonderful to know that we have such talented magicians in Adelaide, so do get along to see the show and support them, they are great!
