The largest outdoor market in Adelaide, the Gilles Street Market Grand Bazaar, is back bigger and better than ever this year. On Sunday 3 December there will be 170 market stalls, fresh Christmas trees to buy, workshops, an abundance of delicious food and great live music, spilling out onto Gilles Street from 10am-4pm. Here’s just a snipped of what’s to come…
Fresh Christmas Trees
Ever wondered why we have fake Christmas tress instead of real ones? Well imagine the smell and feel of a real trimmed Pinus radiate tree. Now THAT’S Christmas. Luckily, they’re actually not that hard to get hold of. The Christmas Tree Plantation will be popping up at the Gilles Street Market Grand Bazaar this weekend, giving you the opportunity to pick your own tree that’s cut and ready to go. It’ll set you back around $75-$85 for either a 5ft or 6ft tree but are promised to be long-lasting.
Gifts Of All Shapes, Sizes & Budgets
Once you’ve picked your tree, you can wander the market stalls and start ticking a few things off your Christmas shopping list. Look out for crowd favourites such Luna And Luxe; boutique paper artisans, Elm Paper; plant & terrarium purveyors, Dig. Plant. Life; Rustic Lights Co. and Brooks & Badger – accessories for the Dapper Male. If you’re on the hunt for the perfect Christmas outfit, you’ll want to head for the BNKR and The Wolf Gang (exclusive to Gilles St) sample sales. Workshops
MILO & SUGAR WORKSHOP
Come and join Milo & Sugar for a fun filled Flower Crown Workshop at Gilles St Markets “The Grand Bazaar” on Sunday 3rd December 2017! We have two workshop times at 11am and 1:30pm where you will spend and an hour designing and making your very own flower crown with an array of in season florals. Sophie and Miya will guide you through this process, and before you know it you will leave with a heavenly flower crown (and a zip in your step)! WORKSHOP TIMES – 11am and 1:30pm COST – $40 for a single ticket OR $70 for 2x tickets (Better Together tickets) ]
Learn the process of illustrating a Christmas Card with local artist and illustrator, Sarah Burley, from Maggie and Tonks. Be taken step by step through the process of designing your own, as well as having the chance to custom paint and decorate two card designs exclusive to the Gilles Street Grand Bazaar Workshop with vibrant watercolours. It’s the perfect workshop if you love creating, drawing or anything handmade and also something lovely you can do with your children to make this giving season more memorable. COST – $35 per adult + $10 for any children under 15 y.o as a family package. RUN TIME – 1.5 hours

Tim & Kyle (My Kitchen Rules 2017) have teamed up with their best mate and head chef Kain (formerly Bread & Bone, Street, NOMA) to bring you CAROclub. Caro, the Latin word for meat, inspired the name and menu, which features meat focused dishes with influences from North, Central , South America. & Asia
Renowned DJ extraordinaire Paul Gurry will be hitting the decks inside, and we have a perfect line up of live musicians hitting the Street Stage and Rear School Stage.
