What is better than seeing Miami Horror play a DJ Set? Seeing Miami Horror play a FREE DJ Set – Yes, you heard us, FREE! Thanks to Heineken, Miami Horror will be playing at The Highway on Saturday the 13th of January with no entry fee.
The set will be performed by Miami Horror producer and DJ, Benjamin Plant who began Miami Horror as a solo project. Much to our joy, Plant has put together ‘A Summer Nostalgia’ mix ahead of his summer tour. According to him the mixtape serves to remind all of us that “music isn’t about hit records or ticket sales – it’s first and foremost about making your art.” And boy are we glad that Plant keeps making his art!
Miami Horror is best known for their diverse sound and variety of influences, their fourth release “The Shapes” gives Miami Horror the chance to focus on a specific direction, aka Art Pop at it’s finest! With influence from 70’s post-punk as well as the hypnotic bounce of world-beat pop artists of the 80’s, how good? SO GOOD!
