Frank Woodley Headlines Five Adelaide Shows This July

One of Australia’s most beloved physical comedians returns to Adelaide to celebrate Adelaide Comedy’s 14th year.

Frank 3One of Australia’s most beloved physical comedians – of Lano and Woodley fame – Frank Woodley returns to Adelaide to celebrate Adelaide Comedy’s 14th year.

Over five nights at The Marion Hotel, The Tea Tree Gully Hotel, The Arkaba and The Rhino Room, Frank will perform live stand up in the unique song-singing, limb flinging Woodley way.

Earlier this year Frank wowed Adelaide Fringe audiences with his adorably daggy show, Fool’s Gold, went on to sell out houses in Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse, Ten Days on the Island, Perth International Comedy Festival and Sydney Comedy Festival.

These shows will feature a range of Frank’s favourite routines mixed with some new gags, songs and general silliness.

A list of hilarious local and interstate comedians will support Frank at each of his shows around Adelaide.

Frank Woodley Bio: Since hanging up his hat, Frank has been busier than a bee (bees are allegedly flat out). His smash hit solo show Possessed played across Australia and the Edinburgh Festival with packed houses and rave reviews. In addition, his animated short, Chicken of God, received an AFI nomination and he won the coveted Herald Angel Award at the Edinburgh Fringe for his role of Candide in the Malthouse Theatre production of Optimism.

Frank was also a regular guest on ABC TV’s music quiz show Spicks and Specks and Network TEN’s Good News Week and an audience favourite on Thank God You’re Here. Australia’s most visually compelling comedian was never far from the stage. It was no surprise that Frank’s 2010 solo tour, Bewilderbeest, quickly sold out around the country, firmly cementing him as one of Australia’s most-loved comedians. In 2012, Frank was back on stage with his new show Bemusement Park.
