FIRST LOOK: Martini Ristorante Has Had A Major Makeover

Reopening this week, Norwood’s Martini Ristorante on The Parade has had a compete facelift with a dramatic new fit out. And the makeover expands beyond the cosmetic. In the kitchen owner and head chef Larry is also shaking things up, with a brand new menu.

Designed by Hames Sharley, the new interior takes customers into Larry’s legacy, blending Italian family hospitality and modern sophistication.

The walls are studded with family photos, heirlooms, Italian pottery and keepsakes, which stretch the length of the dining room.  The new bar now boasts a sleek marble bench top, mirrored splashback and classic timber accents.

One of the most impressive additions is private dining area ‘The Pantry’. A butcher’s block table sits underneath hanging garlic, air-dried prosciutto, glistening olive oil bottles, and fresh pasta so guests can dine amongst the artisanal produce. And don’t be surprised if Larry pops by to talk you through the dishes.

The Pantry sits at the back of the restaurant and seats up to 10 guests.

“I want to reposition Martini’s to be more inviting for families, friends and groups. This major revamp really reflects the true Southern Italian atmosphere but with an Australian twist”, says Larry.

With family originating from Southern Italy, and a rich cooking history, Larry has worked at some of Adelaide’s most famed eateries. He combines traditional Italian and modern cooking techniques, with a unique flair, using the best possible local produce.

Dishes include pappardelle con anatra with a slow cooked duck and field mushroom ragu, house-made gnocchi with gorgonzola, rocket pesto and pumpkin, or Larry’s famous Ciccheetti (Italian tapas).

If you can’t choose, the ‘Let Larry Feed You!’ menu does exactly what it says.

“I want people to feel at home in our contemporary and warm space. I’m incredibly excited for the new menu offerings and having the ‘let us feed you’ options available. We have really been looking forward to this next chapter, and creating many new memories,” says Larry.

You’ll find Martini Risorante at 59A The Parade, Norwood.
