FIRST LOOK: Backyard Cricket (BYC) Pontoon Opens In Time For Ashes

The famed Adelaide Festival Pontoon lives to see another day, starting this Friday as a celebration of the great Australian tradition of backyard cricket transforming the pontoon into one of the best places to watch The Ashes.

The famed Adelaide Festival Pontoon lives to see another day, starting this Friday as a celebration of the great Australian tradition of backyard cricket transforming the pontoon into the best place to watch The Ashes (outside the oval, that is)!!

The Backyard Cricket Pontoon (BYC Pontoon) is the first activation on the fully remediated Adelaide Festival Pontoon in Elder Park and over the Adelaide Test it will embrace the essence of Test match cricket and be accessible to everyone.

Featuring big screens, an Adelaide Oval score board themed bar,a supervised practice cricket net with its own mechanical bowling machine, the BYC Pontoon is all about fun and will have a retro feel.

The Backyard Cricket Pontoon will be open from Friday, December 1 at 11am and trade throughout the test match.
