Heading to the footy this weekend? We all know that the players aren’t the only ones who need to load up on energy before a big game, how else can we lift the metaphorical roof off of Adelaide Oval? Well, Home Ground are now here to make pre/post game food (or those very important drinks…) easier!

Home Ground is one of Adelaide’s newest dining destinations, just a stone’s throw away from the Oval on the freshly upgraded Riverbank Promenade. Located immediately underneath the Adelaide Convention Centre’s new East Building, it is a stylish, affordable cafe and bar experience serving up delicious menus, all year round.

The venue comprises of the Goodbuns Diner, for those craving a burger and onion rings; Sage Delicatessen, serving up light, on-trend dishes, including poké, sandwiches, wraps, salads and more; The Home Ground Bar, where you can smash a pint or two before/after the game; and finally, the well-known Regattas.

The lovely open-plan design provides an airy feel with plenty of room for fans and spectacularly unbroken views across the river. You can sit on the terrace and soak up the sun. If the weather turns inclement, it’s a short retreat inside to the spacious and modern dining areas.
Heading in for the game? Home Gound have got some extra temptations for you. There are special menus on offer for game days, and drink specials to boot. Happy hour kicks off (puns) 2 hours before the match and runs until the end of the game, with $6 Coopers and $6 house wines.
Home Ground is officially the destination before and after sporting matches at the Oval, if you’re heading to the theatre, or if you’re simply looking to enjoy a picturesque brunch, lunch or dinner down by the new riverbank district. They’re open daily from 8am, with the bar sections open later on game days and weekends.
