Officially marking the end of an iconic era- one of the most influential and much-loved performer Elton John has announced a final blow out tour to celebrate all his wonderful years in the spotlight- and our hearts.
Kicking off in the U.S. on September 8th, 2018, the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will consist of more than 300 shows across five continents, hitting North America, Europe and the Middle East, Asia, South America and Australasia before reaching its conclusion in 2021.
These are the final dates that will be Elton’s last-ever tour, the end of half a century on the road for one of pop culture’s most enduring performers. The new stage production will take fans on a musical and highly visual journey spanning a 50-year career of hits like no one has ever seen before.
The now 70-year-old singer has decided to end his 50-year career from a change in priorities, now being a father to two young children with his 54-year-old husband -David Furnish.
“I love them so much. I don’t want to miss them and I don’t want them to miss me,” he said.
Having spent so much of his time devoted to his doe-eyed fans, he announced his reasonings of his decision to drop the mike-
“It’s time to come off the road so I can fully embrace the next important chapter of my life,” he said. “I need to dedicate more time to raising my children.” – Elton John.

The iconic and loved musician has sold 300 million records throughout his steady career- after launching his first tour in 1970 he has since performed to fans over 4,000 times in more than 80 countries.
