Experience Riding A Stage Of The Santos Tour Down Under!

tourThere is less than one week left for teams of cyclists to register for the Mutual Community Challenge Tour, presented by The Advertiser, and experience riding a stage of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Mike Turtur, Santos Tour Down Under Race Director, is encouraging cyclists to register before the team entries deadline on 5pm Sunday 31 October.

“Five or more cyclists can form a team, which gives them the opportunity to ride a stage of the Mutual Community Challenge Tour; the same route that the elite cyclists ride,” says Mike Turtur.

“This is a great way for communities, including businesses and sporting clubs, to get involved in the largest cycling event in Australia.

“The Mutual Community Challenge Tour is a great way to foster community spirit and for people to become part of the action and excitement of the tour firsthand.

Registrations to ride as individuals will continue until the 7 January but if you want to ride with teammates and have your team name printed on the back of your jersey, you must register by 31 October.”

Cyclists taking part in the Mutual Community Challenge Tour can choose from four distance options:

Norwood – Strathalbyn – 135km
Gumeracha – Strathalbyn – 91km
Balhannah – Strathalbyn – 62km
Macclesfield – Strathalbyn – 35km
