Term 2: Introduction to Floristry

This introductory course is perfect for those who wish to learn the basics of floristry.
You will be taught how to use and maintain fresh cut seasonal flowers in varying arrangements, such as handheld bouquets, posy jars, buttonholes, corsages, cake toppers and table arrangements.
Not only will you be creating your own floral arrangements but you will have tutorials from a creative industry expert to contextualise your masterpieces.
You will also be provided with an Austin Bloom floral kit for you to keep and continue developing your skills.
The 6-week course will cover the following topics:
Week 1: Posy making
Week 2: Table arrangement
Week 3: Buttonholes and wrist corsages
Week 4: Bridal bouquet + binding and ribbon techniques
Week 5: Hair flowers techniques
Week 6: Cake topper
A payment plan is available and a detailed itinerary will be emailed to you upon payment.
Please note that this is a SIX WEEK continuous course on a WEDNESDAY night from 6:30pm – 9:00pm from Wednesday 2 May to Wednesday 6 June 2018.
