Enjoy Food And Godi La Vita (Enjoy Life) At Adelaide’s Newest Italian Restaurant

Because food is made to be enjoyed and King William Road’s newest addition knows that…

‘Enjoy life’. It is a simple sentiment but obviously an important one. If there is one thing that can basically guarantee the enjoyment of life it would have to be food.

And that is what King William Road’s newest addition, Godi La Vita, is all about. The recently opened modern Italian eatery showcases all things authentic in a handcrafted menu.

Husband and wife team/co-owners, Federico and Laurie Godi, were inspired by Federico’s Italian background to create a restaurant and space where diners can enjoy themselves by indulging in great food and wine. We like the way they think…

Also running things in the kitchen, Federico possesses a wealth of expertise, courtesy of his love for authentic Italian food. He says, “In English, my surname ’Godi’ translates to ‘enjoy’ and ‘la vita’ means ‘life’, resulting in Godi La Vita – enjoy life… And that is exactly what our restaurant intends to offer diners…”

“I was born in Florence and grew up in an Italian villa where I was constantly surrounded by some of Italy’s finest chefs… From a very young age, I’ve had the opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade to perfect recipes that result in irresistible, mouth-watering dishes,” says Federico.

So basically you can expect a mouth watering menu that will satisfy those carb cravings. Traditional and flavoursome dishes such as homemade gnocchi and pork ribs will definitely be the faves. And more than just food, the menu will also offer an exclusive collection of commissioned wines

Godi La Vita is the first restaurant in Australia to work with Wine Resources Australia to create their very own range of commissioned wines. Blended with ingredients from Langhorne Creek and McLaren Vale in South Australia, the Godi La Vita wines are expected to be a massive hit amongst diners.

The venue itself oozes a homely yet sophisticated vibe. That is thanks to Laurie Godi and her background in interior design. She has managed to pull together a welcoming ambiance with a chic and stylish feel.

“Our restaurant aims to make people feel as though they are really in Italy, from the flavours of the food, to the layout and décor…” says Federico.
