ECHELON Takes Luxury City Living To New Heights

Adelaide joins an elite number of cities around the world to offer the ultimate in luxury vertical living following the Development Assessment Commission approval of ECHELON, the flagship development of the Karidis Corporation.

Adelaide joins an elite number of cities around the world to offer the ultimate in luxury vertical living following the Development Assessment Commission approval of ECHELON, the flagship development of the Karidis Corporation.

The timeless design of the two towers planned for the former Trims site offers an unrivalled array of prestigious features as part of a broader $250m MasterPlan that represents the culmination of more than 50 years’ experience by the Karidis Corporation.

Karidis Corporation Limited Chairman, Gerry Karidis AM, says the green light has been given to unprecedented high-end apartment living, state-of-the-art commercial spaces and a spectacular retail and hospitality precinct, while the city’s vibrant events scene, high-end shopping and eating precincts are right on the project’s doorstep.

“Having the 141 residential apartments within the top floors means everyone living in this vertical village enjoys a panoramic bird’s eye view of our beautiful city centre, parklands, hills and sea,” Mr Karidis said.

The project has already sparked significant state, national and international interest, with significant levels of pre-sale enquiries from residential and commercial buyers wanting to secure their place in this unique high-rise development.

“Having more than 20 percent of the two and three bedroom apartments already sold is a vote of confidence in the Karidis Corporation and shows that savvy buyers want inner city luxury living without compromising on quality, lifestyle or space,” Mr Karidis said.

“People love the over-sized apartments which offer generous balconies and high levels of quality fixtures. It is very different to anything else on the Adelaide market, and with a range of entertainment, lifestyle, food and other facilities as part of ECHELON, people can either venture into the city or simply stay at home.”

A number of hand-picked specialised retailers and high-end eateries are also planned for the landmark development.

“We are taking luxury to a new level by providing residents with multiple lifestyle areas that include a kitchen, library, fireside chat area, theatre, event space, as well as access to a spacious rooftop pool and outdoor entertaining area. People will be spoilt for choice by the array of great city events, cafés, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep, while Central Market and Gouger Street are only a short stroll away, and the tram stops right out the front for perfect beach access.”

In addition to high-end office spaces and luxury accommodation, ECHELON also boasts a rooftop silver service restaurant and bar, cafes, day spa, medical facilities, and a state of the art lifestyle entertainment area offering the latest food and drink trends. A French patisserie, Italian restaurant and other international eating choices will ensure a fusion of different cultures.

As the project’s first resident, Mr Karidis says the multi-million dollar development provides a much-needed employment and investment boost for SA.

“This will create more than 500 direct employment opportunities and generate ongoing jobs for hundreds more once complete. This is a show of confidence by the Karidis Corporation in South Australia, and reaffirms our commitment to supporting the local economy and creating a vibrant city.”

“I thank everybody who has played a role in achieving this approval. I appreciate the support of those who believe in the Karidis Corporation and their recognition of what we continue to do for the city.”

Construction of the two 31-storey towers (which are 114 metres high) is due to start early in 2017 and expected to take two years to complete.
