Easter at Oakbank 2012

On Saturday the 7 and Monday the 9 of April 2012, race goers will descend upon Oakbank Racecourse, situated in the Adelaide hills, for two days of fun and racing.

The Easter Carnival will feature both jumps and flat racing as Oakbank is the home of jumps racing in South Australia. As part of the Oakbank Easter Racing Carnival, trackside offers plenty of areas to choose your picnic spot as well as rides and amusements in addition to an animal petting zoo and roving entertainers.

The Easter Carnival has been held annually by the Oakbank Racing Club since 1876. The successful Carnival attracts more than 100,000 guests, positioning it as the title holder for the world’s largest picnic race meeting. The day also offers fashion conscious attendees to frock up and show off their creations.

In 2012, packages start at $130 with the Young Members Marquee providing ticket holders with champagne breakfast, entrance, beer/wine and bubbles as well as cocktail food and return transport via bus. Other offerings include the Punters Retreat at $190 per guest or the Grandstand Corporate Boxes at $200 per person excluding beverages.

The day will provide excitement in a peaceful country location. The Oakbank Racing Club offers a range of packages for the Carnival which can be viewed on the website with corporate guests, families and groups welcome.

Gates will open at 7.00 am with booked packages starting at 11.30 am and ending at 5.00 pm.
