Do you love science? Port Pirie Regional Council has announced Dr Karl Kruszelnicki is coming to Port Pirie.
Most people will recognise Dr Karl from his TV show appearances, his weekly triple J radio segment and the books he has written (43 so far). For those who don’t know him, the renowned Dr Karl is affectionately known as the science communicator. To go along with his honorary doctorate from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Dr Karl has completed numerous degrees in biomedical engineering, medicine and surgery.
After presenting two closed sessions for primary and secondary school students in Port Pirie, Dr Karl will be presenting a public evening session for one night only. It’s a very rare opportunity to see Dr Karl live in the region.
Dr Karl’s Great Moments in Science promises to be a fun and lively discussion about some of his favourite scientific achievements. During the evening performance Dr Karl will also be offering a book signing and have his book, Karl, the Universe and Everything, for sale.
Dr Karl’s exclusive Port Pirie appearance will be on Friday 14 September 2018. The session will be held at the Northern Festival Centre, in the Keith Michell Theatre, starting at 8pm. Tickets can be purchased for $25 through the Northern Festival Centre on 8633 8500.
