One of the best things about the Crush Festival is all of the amazing long lunches and dinners! Here’s a few of our faves.

The Crush Festival is back again this Australia Day weekend! It’s the perfect opportunity to gorge on delicious South Aussie wine and food, with 43 events over three days. There’s something for you, your mum and even Susan next door. But if your perfect afternoon or evening sounds like sitting down for a lazy lunch or long table dinner then we’ve got just the perfect Crush dining guide for you.

FRIDAY 27th JANUARY

Mordrelle WinesDessert, Chocolate & Wine

Okay, so it’s not technically a dinner as such… but if you decide to have chocolate and wine for dinner, we won’t tell anyone (because we’d do the same thing)! Argentinean winemaker, Martin Moran, from Mordrelle Wines and Red Cacao’s chocolatier Marcus Booth-Remmers match wines and chocolate to give you a delectable taste sensation!

SATURDAY 28th JANUARY – DINNER

We couldn’t just pick one great option for Saturday’s dinner (there’s 43 events over the whole weekend, come on), so we’ve had to put two options, but don’t blame us, blame the Crush Festival for having so many amazing choices that we just can’t choose one.

What sounds more romantic than these two words: ‘Sunset Dinner’. We sure can’t think of anything! Get your Valentine’s Day in two weeks early and treat yourself with a menu curated by the 2016 Chef of the Year. With 8 different vintage options, you’ll be drowning in delicious wine. They also do a vigneron walk and talk, where you’ll learn everything you need to know about Chardonnay – delicious and educational!

The Lane VineyardTaste the Seasons: Summer

When you think of the most elegant dinner you could ever imagine, there’s no doubt it has over three courses. Get treated like a bonafide Lord or Lady and indulge yourself in a seven course meal (yes, you read that right – seven)! Watch from the deck as the sunsets over Mount Lofty while sipping a glass of Cuvée Helen, and believe you’re royalty for a night.

Bird In Hand Lunch In The Gallery

Bookings are essential for this incredible event. Why? The tantalising meal is a  masterpiece of degustation created by Chef de cuisine Carlos Astudillo, which is then paired with vintage wine from Bird In Hand. Having previously won the Australian Winery and Winemaker of the Year, you can’t expect anything less than perfection from this special event.

While there are no ticketed events for your Sunday dinner to finish off your weekend, you’re not going to want to pass up the next two options.

Mordrelle Wines South American Guitars

Finish off your weekend with a delicious spit roast by Dominic Romeo to the spirited sounds of South American guitars! Take in the passionate energy that surrounds you while you taste local boutique wines handcrafted by Argentinean winemaker Martin Moran and his family. Perfecto!
