Concerts at Kent Town Finale

The final concert of the 2011 Concerts@Kent Town closes the series in a magnificent form with a performance by the popular, award winning community choir Cantamus, under the direction of Richard Hornung.

Guests appearing in this outstanding concert include State Opera’s Bass Baritone, Andrew Turner, who will perform excerpts from, that perennial Christmas season favourite, Handel’s Messiah, which forms the majestic centrepiece of the concert.

Joining Andrew on the program will be accomplished violinist, Tinel Dragio, and accompanist, Robin Parkin.

The program demonstrates the choir’s versatility with a variety of music ranging from operatic, well known classics and revered religious works.

Composers include Orff, Schubert, Verdi, Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and, of course, the evergreen Handel and Haydn.
