Come Away With Me – A Norah Jones Tribute

Georgie Aue QuartetFollowing a sold out 2010 Adelaide Fringe season, Australian pianist/songwriter/vocalist Georgie Aue (Solartricity, Georgie Aue Trio, Selah) is returning for an extended version of her show ‘A Norah Jones Tribute’ to the 2010 Cabaret Fringe Festival.

For three shows only, The Georgie Aue Quartet will present selections from Jones’ eight-time grammy award winning album ‘Come Away With Me’, performing such hits as ‘Don’t Know Why’ and ‘Turn Me On’, at Adelaide’s exclusive music venue The Promethean on the 12th, 19th and 26th of June at 5pm.

The quartet, described as a “band with real chops” (S Evans – Independent Weekly), includes Locky Ridge on guitar (Transatlantics), John Aue on double bass (Baker Suite, Marcia Hines) and Jamie Jones on drums (Supernova, Bamboos).

This show is a tribute to an album that captured the world’s attention in 2002, selling over 20 million copies. Listeners around the globe fell in love with Norah Jones’ relaxed musical style and she soon became a household name.

Being greatly influenced by Norah Jones’ songwriting and performing style, Georgie became an instant fan back in 2002. Fast forward to 2010 and she is honored to pay tribute to one of the leading vocalists/pianists of the last decade.

Tickets are available through BASS.
