Who doesn’t love Christmas? Twinkling lights, cheer, and food… all that delicious roasted food. Of course, here in Australia, it’s a bit hot on Christmas Day for the rugged up merriment that the northern hemisphere celebrates in December. However, as ingenious as we are, we’ve found a way around that, by celebrating it in July!
This year we’ve found two of the perfect Christmas in July events to make the mid-year celebration as exciting as the actual 25th of December (and to make your EOFY drinks easier).
Christmas in July this year at the Hotel Grand Chancellor is set to be not one but two parties worth of the title!
Ever wondered what the jolly man in the red suit and his elves are really like behind the scenes? Bad Santa and his bumbling elf Alabaster Snowball are set to bring the hilarity and magic to the stage (and to your seats – beware!) from the get-go!
Settle in for a delicious three-course Christmas meal while you’re amazed and entertained by Adelaide’s best flaming magician – Third Degree Burnie! Everyone will then hit the d-floor to dance off those Christmas puds to music from the 60’s to 90’s, played by rock trio Acoustic Fix.
Why not grab a group of friends and celebrate Christmas in July as you never have before. Great food, great entertainment and an all-around great night!
You’ll have such a great time, in fact, you’ll probably be keen to head back the following weekend to celebrate Christmas in July with Adelaide’s favourite cover band – The Flaming Sambucas! While enjoying another Christmassy three-course meal, your toes will be tapping to the beat of this band. Performing music from the Motown era right through to Lady Gaga, these guys will have you dancing in your seats (and obviously on the dancefloor after you’ve had a wine or 4).
