I had the privilege of interviewing Chris from Less Than Jake, who will be performing at Soundwave next year. Check out what he has to say about Bon Jovi, his advice for aspiring bands, and becoming an Australian citizen.
R: You are currently touring the USA; how is that going for you?
C: Great; awesome shows. Heading to Japan and Europe next.
R: How many times have you visited our shores?
C: 10 times. We should be adopted Australian Citizens.
R: You have been around the world a bunch of times. What is your favorite country to play in and why?
C: You know, there is no favorite country as each country is different for its own reason. We are happy to play in any country that will have us (laughs)!
R: Any advice for any bands wanting to break into the music industry?
C: Listen to your parents, go to uni, and get a real job! It is hard work. We have been doing it for 18 years; it’s like hitting the lottery. Keep playing and stay true.
R: You opened for Bon Jovi a while back. What was that like?
C: Crazy. We got to play to in a packed arena every night, and Bon Jovi was really nice.
R: Finally, any message for your Aussie fans coming to the show next year?
C: Can’t wait for VB and the girls. Looking forward to seeing everyone out there when we hit the stage – it is one big party!
