Celebrity Chefs Team Up With The Big Issue To Bring You The Big Lunch

Much-loved South Aussie chefs will join forces with The Big Issue to serve up a charity lunch for hundreds of guests at the Adelaide Central Market THIS Sunday, July 29.

Much-loved South Aussie chefs will join forces with The Big Issue to serve up a charity lunch for hundreds of guests at the Adelaide Central Market THIS Sunday, July 29. The Big Lunch, now in its eighth year, raises money for The Big Issue’s work with homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged South Australians.
Celebrity chef Simon Bryant, Hilton Adelaide’s new executive chef Christian Jensen and former My Kitchen Rules winner Bree May will prepare the gourmet, four-course feast. The menu is created around quality, local produce donated from market stall holders and other South Australian businesses. The food will be paired with Yalumba wines, Vale Brewing beer and Lobo cider.
The Big Issue aims to raise $20,000 from this year’s event. Since 2011, The Big Lunch has raised more than $140,000 for South Australians who are doing it tough and need a hand up.
This is a great event supporting a great cause. If you can’t attend the event, consider purchasing one of the Big Issue’s magazines next time you come across someone selling them. Every bit helps, and even just offering the individuals who are trying to get by a smile, or a simple hello, goes a long way. They’ve already got it rough, and you lose nothing from being kind.
Date: Sunday 29 July 2018
Time: 11.30am to 3pm
Venue: Adelaide Central Market
The Big Lunch seats 400 people. Tickets are $140 per/person and are available at thebigissue.org.au.
