Carrie Bickmore is woman of many talents. The style icon is also a strong woman that many of us look up to and respect, and her amazing ability to select INSANELY beautiful gowns for the Logies is also pretty impressive.
It’s little wonder that we’ve all been awaiting her 2017 fashion choice, and she hasn’t disappointed.
South Australian fashion designer and Young Australian of the Year 2017 Paul Vasileff, of the Paolo Sebastian label, has spent the past few months quietly working with Logie Award nominee Carrie Bickmore on a custom gown for the award ceremony, which is taking place this evening.
It’s safe to say they’ve nailed it.
Here’s your first look at the stunning gown.
Bickmore is a long time fan of the label, wearing Paolo Sebastian at the 2014, 2015 and 2016 awards.
Whilst the details of the gown were strictly under wraps until the red carpet reveal, Vasileff revealed that he is happy with the end product.
“For someone to choose to wear one of our gowns to a red carpet event is always an absolute honour,” designer Paul Vasileff said.
“To have the opportunity to collaborate with someone and work on a custom piece is even more exciting as we get to be creative. We love working with Carrie and her team, it’s always a wonderful experience,” Vasileff said.
Paolo Sebastian has previously dressed stars at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes and the Daytime Emmys.
The label is renowned for its dedication to the local Australian fashion industry, manufacturing couture garments in South Australia with a staff of fifteen.
