Locals Speakeasy Alice have released the 12 Days of Ginmas – an advent calendar of sorts featuring 12 local and imported gins.
Beautifully boxed, it comes with 12 x 30ml bottles of boutique gins plus tasting notes and suggestions on garnishes and which mixer to pair it with.
Owner Alice Adamson scoured the globe for the best gins she could for the box, including one from Finland which is not yet available in Australia.
Everything else is created in Adelaide – from the boxes designed in Woodville to the tasting notes artwork designed by artist Leo Greenfield.
As well as selling gins, Speakeasy Alice offers a monthly gin subscription where you can get a different bottle sent to you each month.
While Alice is now an aficionado of all things gin, she almost very nearly wasn’t. A teetotaller until the age of 30, it wasn’t until someone put a G&T in her hand at a party that she fell in love. Even now eight years later, the only alcohol she likes the taste of is gin.
