Adelaide Hill dwellers and beer enthusiasts rejoice! Balhannah’s very own brewery – Left Barrel Brewing opened their doors last weekend for an exclusive look. And we’re very keen to check this place out.
Thankyou to all who attended yesterday for our brewery opening. We really appreciate the love and support from you…
At Left Barrel Brewing, they primarily brew farmhouse, sour and barrel aged beers as well as old beer styles. This is the first time they’ve opened their doors of their Taproom to the public, with an official and larger launch in September when they have their Taproom and brewery “ironed out they way we want”.
The head brewer and owner Brad Bown is very excited for his opening of the new brewery. His passion for quality beer, balance and variety are key values. This is the perfect addition to the quaint town of Balhannah and no doubt they’ll be busy with all the local beer lovers.
Offering an array of beers, Left Barrel Brewing offer a beer to everyone’s specific taste. Unique bottle artwork by Alphamanta Art brings a one of a kind feel to the craft beers. Available:
Rocky Rye Pale Ale – their first beer brewed has the unique name from their beloved Golden Retreiver ‘Rocky’, expressed in the bottle artwork. A hit of rye, fruity ester profile and late spiciness of flavour.
Sauer Puss – light and crisp with some tartiness.
Alpaca Amber – Amber Ale with their farmhouse yeast with big aroma a flavour balancing the sweet maltiness.
Bob’s Ya Dunkel (Munich Dunkel) – Their first lager showcases chocolate notes with rich, malty themes and is the perfect Winter drink.
There's a reason I've been quiet for a while with art updates…I've been working on artwork for a few up and coming…
Apart from beer, there will also be food and tunes to create the perfect Adelaide Hills Winter atmosphere. Grab all your friends and head to Balhannah for a true Adelaide Hills experience.
