Book Extract: Warhol A to Z: The Life of an Icon from Adman to Zeitgeist, by Steve Wide

Check out three sample pages from Steve Wide’s upcoming tribute to Andy Warhol, featuring an A-Z look at the pop artist’s life and legacy.

Releasing next month is Steve Wide’s third A-Z book celebrating the life of a celebrity icon. Following on from Bowie A to Z and Prince A to Z, Warhol A to Z – The life of an icon: from Adman to Zeitgeist uses the same colourful layout and design to snapshot the life of Andy Warhol.

Warhol is arguably the western world’s most famous modern artist. He effectively invented pop culture and redefined the way we think about fame itself. No other artist has made us question the very nature and value of art the way that Warhol did. His cultural impact is unparalleled; as a Pop Artist, as a mid-century innovator, as a film maker, and as a near-prescient provocateur.

Celebrating the many faces and facets of Andy Warhol, from Adman to Zeitgeist, this book is beautifully illustrated by Melbourne artist Alice Oehr and is densely packaged with everything you ever needed to know about the man and the legend.

Warhol A to Z will be released in July 2018 but we’ve already got a copy in our hot little hands. Stand by for a review coming soon. In the meantime, whet your appetite by clicking on the images below to sample three pages from the book. Each image is approximately 1mb in size.
