Beer & BBQ Festival Heads Back To Adelaide This July

In just three short years, this home-grown Adelaide festival has blazed its way to become second largest single weekend beer event in the country – and it’s heading back to SA this winter.

Organisers are preparing to brew up for this year’s Adelaide Beer and BBQ Festival. In just three short years, this home-grown Adelaide festival has blazed its way to become second largest single weekend beer event in the country.  Riding on this success, organisers will be presenting the festival in Sydney this winter.

Teaming up with leading event management company, Cattleyard Promotions (of Groovin The Moo, The Plot, Newtown Festival & Cattleyard Brewing Co fame), the inaugural Sydney Beer & BBQ Festival will launch on Friday the 29 June and run through to Sunday 1 July. Presented in the same successful format as the popular Adelaide version, with four sessions spread over the three days the festival will feature masterclasses, a live music program showcasing new and emerging artists and some of the best food curation brought to life by BBQ Ambassador Duncan Welgemoed (Africola) with international chefs and interstate collaborations that match SA’s finest with the nation’s best chefs.

The festival will then return home to the Adelaide Showground the following weekend, with first ales poured from 5pm on Friday 6 July and last drinks called at 6pm on Sunday 8 July.

“We’re aiming to become Australia’s top beer-focused events,” said Gareth Lewis, Event Director at GA Entertainment. “And of course, complement that with a barbecue programme that’s totally unique, and a music programme to match any standalone music festival.”

Brewers, exhibitors, barbecue chefs and full music line-up will be announced progressively from April onwards.
