BAFF Program Launch

The 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival (BAFF) program will be launched on Friday 28 January by the Hon John Hill, MP, Minister Assisting The Premier in the Arts; Festival Deputy Chair, Vivienne Skinner and Festival Director Katrina Sedgwick at the Palace Cinemas in Adelaide, one of the main venues for this year’s festival. 

This festival, in only its fifth incarnation, will present an astounding 20 world premieres – excitingly, all of Australian works, and 55 Australian premieres. 

The exciting two minute short film SEE WITHIN, produced by Spirit Films and with special effects by Rising Sun Pictures, will be premiered at the launch. 

The 12 films in competition for the 10 News International Award for Best Feature Film will also be announced at the launch. 

Taking place from 24 February to 6 March, the 2011 BigPond Adelaide Film Festival will present a dynamic program of screenings, special events, workshops and forums, which is expected to attract over 48,000 film lovers and film makers across its 11 day program.
