Australia’s Answer To The Climate Emergency Is Coming To Adelaide

If the world population carry on with business as usual, everyone, everywhere, faces a 5 degree warmer world by century’s end.  Who has a feasible answer to this critical problem?  In Australia, Beyond Zero Emissions, in partnership with the University of Melbourne, have come up with a solution to climate change – the Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary Energy Plan.

This plan has been launched to great acclaim in the media and packed-out town halls in the Eastern states.  It will now be presented in Adelaide on Friday, 3rd December by the Climate Emergency Network of South Australia, sponsored by the School of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Adelaide.

Mark Ogge from Beyond Zero Emissions will launch the report, and a range of panelists – economists, engineers and politicians – will give their assessments of the plan.  This plan is setting the agenda in this country for discussion and debate regarding our energy future.

The event will be held at Elder Hall, Adelaide University, North Terrace from 6pm – 9pm on Friday 3rd December. Register for the free event online at http://adelaidelaunchzca.eventbrite.com/
