ANZ Championship Grand Final this Sunday in Adelaide

anz netball grandfinalTickets to the 2010 ANZ Championship Grand Final go on sale at 9am (South Australian time) Friday 3rd July. The Grand Final will be held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Sunday 11th July, with the match starting at 2.30pm SA time. And with ANZ Championship organisers announcing today that Sunday’s Preliminary Final at Newcastle Entertainment Centre has sold out in record time, netball fans are advised to get in early to guarantee their seat at the Thunderbirds’ first ever home Grand Final.

It was also announced today that the Grand Final pre-match entertainment will be headlined by one of Australia’s most popular and inspirational performers, Shannon Noll.  He will perform two of his best-selling singles, as well as singing the national anthem prior to the main game.

After finishing third in 2008 and second in 2009, the Thunderbirds will be hoping to go one better to be crowned 2010 ANZ Champions in year three of the world’s premier netball league. They will play the winner of the Preliminary Final, which sees a re-match of the 2008 Grand Final between the NSW Swifts and Kiwi powerhouse, First Windows Waikato / Bay of Plenty. Whilst the WBOP Magic team is brimming with talent and confidence after their dominant performance against the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel in the minor Semi-Final, the NSW Swifts will be hoping to recapture the form that saw them dominate the regular season and claim the minor premiership.

To streamline entry for fans, Ticketek and the Adelaide Entertainment Centre will be offering ezyTicket entry for the 2010 ANZ Championship Grand Final. ezyTickets can be purchased online through www.ticketek.com.au and will be emailed to fans to print at their own convenience, skipping match day queues. The Adelaide Entertainment Centre strongly recommends pre-purchasing tickets on the internet or at local Ticketek agencies.

The match will be broadcast live on Network Ten (TEN and ONE) in Australia and SKY Sport in New Zealand.
