An Unmissable Fashion Soiree Hits Adelaide As Part Of The Feast Festival

A inflatable venue, unmissable fashion, delicious wine… The Soul Trader presents The Red Dress is on the ‘Unmissable Events’ list…

The fashion industry will come together to pay the ultimate homage to one of fashion’s most loved items – THE RED DRESS – on Wednesday 18 November.

Held at the highly anticipated site of the soon to open Soul Trader store, event co producer Filip Odzak said that the concept was derived from Red Ribbon Day.

“Soul Trader presents The Red Dress is an exciting twist on a well established concept to raise awareness for a worthy cause and will be a highlight event on this year’s Feast Festival program,” he said.

Feast Festival has been running for 19 consecutive years and is Australia’s third largest LGBTQI Festival (Following Mardi Gras and Mid-Summer) and this year has attracted the attention of global sensation Conchita Wurst (Eurovision Song Contest Winner 2014) who is the ambassador for this year’s festival.

“Once we learnt that Conchita was our ambassador, we decided to fill a gap on the program with an inspirational fashion event – it only seemed fitting!” Filip explains.

Guests will enjoy a runway show in an inflatable pop-up venue featuring couture and vintage Red Dresses from designers around the world, whilst sipping wines by Swire & Noble Estate and Finniss River.

Creations seen on Logie and Oscar red carpets, plus new styles and gowns from the archives will grace one of the most unique runways of the year!

Designers include Dannii Minogue, Steven Khalil, Zhivago, Phoenix Keating, One Fell Swoop, Nicola Finetti, Matcho Suba of Project Runway, Matthew Eager, Acler, C/Meo Collective, Simmone Standing, Jaimie Sortino, S.I.G. the label, couture+love+madness, Stephanie Chehade, Liza Emanuele + many more!

The runway will be styled by Sunday Mail fashion editor Cimon Vozzo, and hair and beauty will be directed by Tempest Hair legend Cain Rumbelow.

“It’s high glam, but we will see a more realistic approach to styling, with both hair and make up. Think Conchita’s approach to styling (minus the beard), where that quintessential Kardashian Femme Fatale Fierceness is the focus” Cain said.

The event will be hosted by Celebrity Apprentice star Mel Greig, with music by official 2015AFF deejay Filip with an F, and an official deejay of Feast Festival, DJ JoSH.

Monies raised will be donated to SAmesh (SA Mobilisation + Empowerment for Sexual Health) providing support and education for sexual health in South Australia

Tickets are $45 and include – Designer Runway Show styled by Sunday Mail fashion editor Cimon Vozzo – Swire & Noble Wine Bar AND your first taste of the new Finniss Estate Wines – Meet & Greet with Designers – First Inflatable Venue in SA – Celebrity Appearances – Event Afterparty – Gift Bag Valued at $150
