An Evening With Julie Andrews

Julie AndrewsPresented by John Frost and Phil Bathols

Adelaide Festival Centre welcomes one of the world’s most treasured stars of stage and screen to the Festival Theatre.

For the first time, Adelaide audiences will have the opportunity to hear Julie Andrews take them through tales of her life and career, with special guest host Nicholas Hammond (who played Friedrich von Trapp in the film The Sound of Music).  Andrews will appear on Tuesday 28 May in the Festival Theatre and tickets can be booked through BASS.

Julie Andrews has been a beloved and much-honoured star of stage and screen, television and recordings for more than half a century and Adelaide Festival Centre is incredibly proud to be able to host this well-known star in the Festival Theatre, as the venue celebrates its 40th birthday in 2013.

Adelaide Festival Centre CEO & Artistic Director Douglas Gautier says “During our anniversary year it is fitting to welcome Julie Andrews to Adelaide Festival Centre, the heart of arts and entertainment in Adelaide. She will appear here in the week leading up to our 40th birthday concert (31 May & 1 June). Ms Andrews is a great star who has had an illustrious career and this is a unique opportunity for all of us to see this incomparable performer live on stage”.
