We’re sure that many coffee snobs in Adelaide remember when this city flirted with Caramel Lattes. There was also a time when Chai ruled the roost, then we realised there wasn’t really much of a difference between a flat white and a latte so both became acceptable. Some research suggested a correlation between black coffee and psychopaths; people swore by Nespresso, then swore by their stove coffee pot. Oh, and we had a Starbucks here once. What happened?
The ebbs and flows of coffee drinkers in our city have become more noticeable over the last few years as we’ve learned a lot more about the black stuff and how best to enjoy it. And something that’s come onto our radar even more recently is almond milk.
Sure, for a while you couldn’t get an almond milk latte without the heated milk splitting and leaving a furry, bitter taste. But those who wrote it off at that early stage may need to give it another go, because there are now products like Almond Breeze Barista Blend on the market which has solved that problem for good.
