Ice Skating Is On At The Torrens Parade Grounds For Alpine Winter Village

The Alpine Winter Village at the Adelaide Riverbank Precinct is taking shape, and seeing as it’s unlikely the Torrens is going to freeze over they’ve taken matters into their own hands.

Alpine Winter Village has crept up on everyone, with the Adelaide Riverbank precinct’s transformation now under a week away! You know that when the crew from Royal Croquet Club and Renewal SA pair up, it’s going to be good. But while the hullabaloo has all been about the incredible market stalls, the winemakers, the food and the atmosphere, and the fact that Adelaidians being outside in Winter is a thing now. it wouldn’t be Christmas in July without a skating rink. Plain and simple.

We’ve got word that Alpine Winter Village are set to install one this week, which means that there will be a spectacle to watch with a wine in hand, especially when it involves incredibly cute children learning about ice for the first time. Utterly adorable!

Honestly though, how much more can they cram into one event? The Village won’t just be for the evening time though, it open during the day and we love the idea of being able to strap on the skates during our lunch break to get out of the office! Skating sessions will run from 10am to 11pm daily from when the Village opens on July 7, just in time for school holidays as well.

Actually, if you’re looking for something to do with the kids, there will also be a full program of family activities and entertainment on offer. Plus coffee and wine, because they know what parents need to get through the day.

Need more information? Of course you do. Visit the Alpine Winter Village website. The Village will be open from July 7 to 31 at the Torrens Parade Grounds.
