Adelaide’s Newest Basement Wine Bar Opens Today!

This afternoon Hellbound Wine Bar will be throwing open their doors and welcoming wine lovers to the newest bar on Rundle Street!

Been wondering what’s happening in that little basement next to The Austral recently? With the sounds of power tools and voices drifiting up? Well wonder no more! This afternoon at 4pm Hellbound Wine Bar will be throwing open their doors and welcoming wine lovers to the newest bar on Rundle Street!

We’ve been promised that Hellbound will be filled with some top-notch wine, and some delightful snacks, making it the perfect pre or post-Fringe show venue.

And when we say top-notch wine, we mean it. One of Adelaide’s hospo greats, Mark Reginato, is part of the collective mind behind this oasis. Mark owns boutique wine agency Connect Vines, so when he promises good wine, we’re pretty certain he’ll deliver.

The other half of this wine dream team is Louis Schofield who used to be top wine dog (sommelier) at Restaurant Blackwood. Given that we’ve once said that Louis “has enough personality and wine knowledge to make you want to sample everything on the wine list”, we think some solid hours might be whiled away in this little basement over the coming months.

You can find Hellbound under Kathmandu at 201 Rundle Street or on Facebook here. They’ll be open Wednesday to Saturday 4pm to 12am, and Sunday 4pm to 10pm.
