Adelaide’s Favourite ANZAC Day Street Party Returns In Support Of Legacy

The Union Hotel annual ANZAC Day Street Party returns with food, wine and live music to honour our Veterans. Celebrate your ANZAC Day with Australia’s oldest and largest street party.

The tradition of mateship is alive and well, as the Legacy Foundation and Union Hotel partner to commemorate the ANZAC spirit with the country’s oldest ANZAC Day street party on Waymouth Street on Wednesday, 25 April 2018.

The annual street party has run for over 40 years and creates a place to come together and honour the history of our Veterans.

“No matter who you are, this is a day to remember and celebrate the tradition of mateship and camaraderie, qualities that underpin what it means to be Australian,” said Piers Schmidt, MD of the Union Hotel, “we have a lot to learn from the spirit of the diggers and are honoured to be the place that people come together to mark this important day.”

Large crowds are expected at the Waymouth Street Party, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Legacy Foundation, which helps supports the families of Veterans.

The street will come alive with boutique beer & wine tents, food stalls, and the annual Legacy Foundation fundraising BBQ – all whilst enjoying live music throughout the day.

Look forward to this year’s entertainment line up featuring Cornsey’s All Stars (with Graham Cornes), the Salt & Pepper Swing Band, SA Pipes & Drums, and the Mt. Barker Pipes & Drums, all to help you get into the spirit of the day. The Union Hotel know what their ANZAC Day guests want with over 40 years of experience and will continue to make the festivities a memorable event.
