Say Hello To Adelaide’s First Camilla Boutique

Everyone loves themselves a little Camilla, and now Adelaide has its own beautiful boutique….

We finally have a Camilla Boutique right here in Adelaide to call our very own! The Leading Australian fashion and lifestyle brand will be launching a gallery like, artisan realm within the premium fashion destination of Burnside Village.

Burnside, the largest retail space yet, joins the Camilla retail tribe of 16 boutiques across Australia. Each store is unique in that they are individually adorned in distinct bespoke pieces handpicked and collected from Camilla Franks’ own travels.

“I love to find unique antique objects, furniture and curiosities through my inspiration trips and travels. We add these to our boutiques to create moments that peak interest and journeys of discovery throughout our stores,” says Camilla Franks.

The latest Camilla Boutique, at Burnside Adelaide, is an evolution of the colour, romance and beauty of the Camilla world. Customers experience a newly evolved store frontage, with a lavish entry featuring a grand “Moroccan inspired” fretwork dome Alcove. A beautiful Moroccan lantern takes centre stage. Customers are greeted with a Buddha artefact on a Shrine of two tiers of Marble Carrera tiles and brass.

To fill the double height of the boutique space, a unique series of mirrors encompass the walls, creating depth and additional layers, inspired by Camilla’s recent travels to Africa and Morocco. Floor to ceiling antique Indian columns provide a clever way to house VM curiosity boxes to showcase Camilla products, and found pieces from Camilla’s extensive travels.

Romanticism is evoked by the grand brass and golden fretwork archway design that invites in the curious, and allows them to flow freely through the space while noticing enormous love and dedicated craftsmanship in the detail. The white textured walls create a sense of nostalgia inspired from architecture around the world, while still offering a necessary blank canvas to showcase intricate worldly treasures.

The curiosities collected during Franks’ travels come together to create a melting pot of aesthetics from faraway cultures such as Africa, Morocco Tibet, Turkey and Polynesia.

“I want our stores to be temple-like; a place of homage that draws you in to reflect and enjoy the moment in front of you. Hopefully the world stops here for a minute,” says Franks.

The boutique includes the full Camilla World lifestyle offering – women’s, men’s, children’s, accessories, shoes, swimwear and homeware lines, opens on Thursday December 17, 2015. To see the full range of Camilla stockists and boutiques, please visit www.camilla.com.au.
