The 2010 Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast will be held at the Adelaide Festival Centre Banquet Room on Thursday 25 November 2010 – UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The event will once again be co-hosted by Leigh McClusky and Peter Goers, and will feature Guest Speaker Mr Chris Payne.

Chris is a former Federal Police Agent who instigated Operation Paper Tiger in 1992, the first sustained attempt by police to combat the ‘contract-girl’ rackets in Sydney.

The operation ran for three years and created widespread public awareness of these human rights violations and highlighted the need for legislative change.

Now retired and working as a private investigator and consultant in Sydney, he maintains an active interest in the area of slavery.

Recently Chris was involved with the powerful documentary movie “Trafficked” which follows his investigation of the shocking crime of trafficking a Thai teenager into prostitution in Sydney, following trails of evidence between Australia and Thailand and giving a disturbing insight into the international sex trade.
