Adelaide Hotel Wins Best 5-Star Hotel in Australia

Trivago have named an Adelaide hotel as the best 5-star hotel in Australia.

Sometimes the best part of travelling is getting back to your hotel after a long day of sightseeing to shower, eat and rest your blistered feet in preparation for another awesome day. And to think of all the amazing places around the world you can visit and the breathtaking hotels you can stay in, the best hotel in Australia happens to be in Adelaide.

The Mayfair Hotel has just been awarded the best 5-star hotel in Australia by popular hotel search site, Trivago, who announced the results of its’ annual Trivago Awards, evaluating over 175 million aggregated hotel reviews to determine the best-rated hotels in Australia.

This year, the top-rated hotels have been awarded across six different categories: 5- star, 4-star, 3-star, Alternative Accommodation, Value for Money and Chain Hotel.

“As an independent source of hotel information with data on over 175 million guest reviews, we are well-positioned to identify the top-rated hotels that excel at delivering exceptional guest experiences,” says Johannes Thomas, Managing Director of trivago N.V.

“The trivago Awards give us the chance to recognise and honour the hard-working hoteliers behind these exemplary hotels, and we are thrilled to do so again this year.” Thomas said.

Martin Radcliffe, General Manager, attributes the Mayfair’s major win to their customer service.

“A great deal of care and attention goes into the delivery of a guest experience that is of the highest quality, distinctly South Australian, and personalised where possible to ensure a memorable stay.”

The Falls Montville in Montville is the top-rated 4-star hotel in Australia, followed by Spicers Tamarind Retreat in Maleny and Captains Cove Resort in Bairnsdale.

This year, Ballina Manor in Ballina has been recognised as the best 3-star hotel in Australia.

Lurline House in Katoomba, which came third in the national results last year, has been crowned the best in two categories this year: Alternative Accommodation and Value for Money.

Finally, the top-rated hotels within the most popular hotel chains in Australia are Mantra Frangipani Broome and Rydges Sydney Airport.
