Starting today, restaurant patrons will now able to take home their unfinished bottle of wine bought at licensed premises, as part of the government drive to encourage responsible drinking.
This change is part of a broader overhaul of Liquor Licencing laws which includes a tougher stance on intoxicated patrons at licenced venues that will enable bartenders and service operators to refuse alcohol using new guidelines.
In other changes to the Liquor Licencing laws coming into effect today, the Government is cutting red tape to make it easier for SA wine producers to promote their products in the market place.
