A brand new two-day festival is coming to the CBD on February 2 and 3 2019, and this one goes out to all you wine lovers out there.
CBD & Vines will bring together the best of over 80 South Australian, interstate and international wines, all in the convenience of the city. CBD & Vines welcomes festival lovers, wine and beverage enthusiasts who work, live and play in the city to discover all that the new festival has to offer.
Held at Electra House, CBD & Vines will span across three levels, utilising both the indoor and outdoor spaces. The indoor space will be dedicated to wine, with wineries and suppliers like Coriole, Koerner, Moet Hennessy, Samuel Smith & Sons, and Unico Zelo. While the outdoor space, called ‘Tin Can Alley’ will have Mismatch Brewing Co, Tiny Rebel, Little Bang Brewing, Hills Cider and more on offer.
And if wine and beers aren’t your thing, Electra’s new lounge bar PMQ which is set to open in January 2019 will host a selection of gin and whiskey distilleries too, all while musicians lend a festival vibe to the atmosphere across the venue.
Event Organiser, Chad Hanson says, “The foodies won’t miss out, with grazing plates featuring a selection of both local and international cheeses and cured meats with fruits, condiments and breads. We will also have an array of more substantial menu items designed by Electra House’s Head Chef Josh Kim. All things going to plan, we will also have the team from Sunny’s dropping by with their mobile pizza van and they’ll also sling a few pies.”
Wine lovers will be able to sample standard wine for $2.50 for half a glass or $5.00 for a full glass, while premium wine will cost $5.00 for half a glass or $10.00 for a full glass, with entry to the event costing $40 for one day or $70 for two, which includes a stemless Riedel glass. Tickets are available now via Eventbrite.
South Australia’s wine regions are close, but leave the hassle of nominating a deso driver or hiring a bus and just pop into the easily accessible CBD to taste the flavours of the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and more.
