What is better than Big Fat Greek Feast? Uhh nothing! Foodland Pasadena is known for its beautiful atmosphere and array of fresh produce but now they have something else to bring to their name. They have taken things to the next level with their Blue Zone Experience event! On the 1 June, you can enjoy a unique evening of food, Greek music, and entertainment!
The Chefs will be creating a variety of Icarian dishes and they will be served on communal sharing tables creating a vibrant and social atmosphere. The dishes are not only delicious but full of beautiful fresh and healthy ingredients to promote longevity and health – I mean do we need any other excuse to celebrate?!
The menu will start with a first course consisting of white sardines, Mr. Nick’s pickles octopus, Kalamata Olives, split Dolmades served with stone oven dry bread – YUM!
The second course will be beef and pork keftedes (aka, delicious Greek Meatballs) served with cucumber and mint yoghurt sauce and the third course will be slow braised saltbush lamb served with risoni, roasted tomato and rosemary – Mind blowing!
The fourth course will be gorgeous South Australian Snapper and Gulf King Prawns baked with fresh bay leaves, garlic, oregano and lemon juice – I mean c’mon who doesn’t love South Australian Seafood! There will also be traditional Ikarian Island Soufiko served with braised vegetables and fresh herbs, these dishes will also be served with mouth watering spinach rice.
And last but not least fifth course, a selection of traditional Greek desserts, which can only mean one thing Baklava!
