Advertising Kills

From MadMen to The Gruen Transfer, we’ve all heard stories of how bad advertising can be, but what about when it’s very good? That’s the brief for The Adelaide Advertising and Design Club (AADC), the local body dedicated to promoting the very best in ideas and craft within the surprisingly large advertising and design industries in South Australia.

The AADC’s 33rd Annual Awards night – based on the theme of ‘killer ideas’ – will be held tonight at the Stamford Grand Hotel, Glenelg. This is the local industry’s ‘night of nights’ when Adelaide’s design and advertising people come together to celebrate the best of the best in creative ideas and excellence in craft. Despite the local focus, the AADC Awards have earned the respect and reputation of Australia’s creative industries as one of the best, fairest and toughest awards shows in the country.

Each year’s awards are fully themed to celebrate creative excellence and this year’s prestigious black tie event is no exception. The ‘Killer Ideas’ theme sees the night taking on a CSI style flavour with a hint of mystery and intrigue in the air.

With a full dinner service, awards presentation and after party, we can only assume that productivity in the local ad and design industry will be significantly reduced tomorrow!
